Capcom Reveals TGS 2026 Lineup: Switch 2 Monster Hunter Wilds Demo
Capcom has unveiled additional details for its Tokyo Game Show 2026 booth, which runs from September 17 to 21 at Makuhari Messe, with September 17 and 18 reserved as business days. The publisher will present its lineup both at the physical venue and through an online program. The centerpiece of the booth is a playable build of the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Monster Hunter Wilds, scheduled to launch on December 4, 2026. Attendees will be able to hunt two different monsters across two quests, with all trial sessions offered in handheld mode and multiplayer only.
The Capcom booth will host two multiplayer hunts for Monster Hunter Wilds on Nintendo Switch 2. Free Quest ★4, titled “Chasing and Chased, Flame Tail,” targets the monster Kematorisu and is designed for newcomers to the game. Free Quest ★6, “The King Emerges from the Sea,” features Lagiacrus and is aimed at experienced players. Trials are conducted in multiplayer, generally in groups of four. Numbered trial tickets are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis near the Switch 2 corner, though quantities are limited and the demo content may change without notice.
Beyond Monster Hunter, Capcom will bring its Resident Evil remakes to Switch 2, letting visitors sample the opening of Resident Evil RE:2 Z Version Deluxe Edition, RE:3 Z Version, or RE:4 Gold Edition. Onimusha: Way of the Sword offers its Training Room, where players battle strong foes; defeating Ifū and Burai on the “Swordplay” difficulty within 25 minutes earns an original T-shirt, with age verification required for entry. Street Fighter 6 lets attendees try Aljun, the second Year 4 character joining on October 13, in Versus play on PlayStation 5.
Capcom’s merchandise branch will offer exhibit-themed goods, including early sales of the Nikkei Entertainment! BIOHAZARD 30th Special book. Launching September 25 at ¥2,420 (about $16), the 124-page A4 volume covers the series’ 30-year history, featuring a cover illustration by Capcom artist Hinanana and an interview with actress Shihori Kanjiya. A Capcom Spotlight TGS 2026 stream is scheduled for September 16 at 23:00 JST, running roughly 40 minutes, accompanied by a giveaway of digital gift cards to ten winners. For fans attending in person, the unusually broad slate of playable titles makes this year’s booth one worth prioritizing.
