BlizzCon 2026 Photo Report: Genji’s Dragonblade, Diablo Tattoos
BlizzCon 2026 was held on September 12-13, 2026, at the Anaheim Convention Center in the United States, hosted by Blizzard Entertainment. The venue was divided into dedicated areas for each Blizzard title, featuring exhibits alongside hands-on activities for attendees. The front of the convention center was decorated with banners representing each game, setting the tone before visitors even stepped inside. Japanese outlet Famitsu published a photo report capturing the atmosphere, and the highlights below come from that coverage.
The Overwatch area offered dynamic displays and playable activities for attendees. Among the standout attractions was a real-life rendition of Genji’s “Dragonblade” (龍神の剣) and a “Hammer Down!” activity, giving fans the chance to recreate signature hero moments in person. The space was designed so visitors could engage directly with the game’s universe rather than simply observing static exhibits. This hands-on focus gave the area notable attention among the convention’s many booths.

The Diablo area was bathed in red lighting, creating an atmosphere tied to the franchise’s dark aesthetic. Most surprisingly, the space reportedly included a spot where attendees could actually get tattoos. Another themed area was built to feel as though visitors had stepped directly into the game’s world, filled with enormous displays. Walking through it was described as an exciting experience, with the sheer scale of the installations a key draw.

A range of merchandise was sold at the event, including limited-edition items bearing BlizzCon 2026’s key visual and goods for each of the featured titles. Long queues formed from the very first day, reflecting strong demand among attendees. According to the report, the Overwatch × LE SSERAFIM collaboration sweater sold out almost immediately after sales began. The combination of exclusive goods and high attendance made the merchandise area one of the busiest parts of the show. For collectors, that sweater was clearly the item of the weekend.
