Weiß Schwarz Online Launches March 2027 on Switch 2, Switch and PC
Bushiroad has announced that Weiß Schwarz Online, a home-console digital card game built on its trading card game Weiß Schwarz, will launch on March 24, 2027 (PDT) — March 25 in Japan Standard Time — for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch and PC platforms. The title is based on the TCG in which players battle with cards featuring characters from popular anime and game franchises. According to Bushiroad, the game will support Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese, Korean and Spanish, allowing players to face opponents from around the world in online matches.
From the start of play, players will be able to use cards from four series in the Weiß Edition and four in the Schwarz Edition. The Weiß Edition lineup includes Aogiri High School, Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko, The Quintessential Quintuplets and BanG Dream! MyGO!!!!!. The Schwarz Edition features The Idolmaster Shiny Colors, Sword Art Online, Touhou Project and BanG Dream! Ave Mujica. Cards from anime, games and VTuber works are set to appear in the game, and players can collect cards from favorite series to build their own decks.
Bushiroad also published a first roadmap for additional downloadable content, confirming that Weiß Schwarz Online will receive ongoing updates after release as the usable card pool gradually expands. A total of eight titles are planned to be added by fall 2027. Further details on the new titles are expected to be shared through official announcements and channels. The game’s PC store page is already live, with wishlist registration open so players can receive email notifications about launch and related news.
Matches support one player offline and one to two players online, so players can battle at home or while out. For newcomers to Weiß Schwarz, the game includes a tutorial and CPU battles, letting players learn the rules at their own pace before jumping into online competition. Combining card collecting with cross-platform online play, the project marks Bushiroad’s push to bring its long-running TCG to consoles and PC. For fans of the card game and the anime series involved, this is certainly one to keep an eye on ahead of its 2027 launch.
