Underground Security Inc. Joins October PC Demo Festival

Indie studio KRNK Studios has announced that its light roguelike dungeon-builder Underground Security Inc. is taking part in the October PC demo festival, running from October 20 to October 27, 2026. Players can head to the game’s digital store page to download a playable demo, which now includes official Chinese language support. The title blends light Rogue elements, tower defense and dungeon construction, casting players as the manager of an underground operation that must survive repeated raids by treasure-hunting adventurers.
In Underground Security Inc., players take on the role of a dungeon manager who recruits minions, mines ore and builds traps. The day-to-day loop revolves around assigning a small squad of minions to different jobs across the dungeon, including mining ore, expanding rooms, constructing and upgrading structures, and deploying defenders against the next wave of adventurers. Each minion can only handle specific task types, and some carry abilities that trigger in different ways. Because only a handful of minions are available each day, players must make trade-offs about where to commit their limited workforce.

As the game progresses, players can choose and recruit more powerful minions and strengthen them through various upgrades to build synergistic combinations. Each run randomly offers building blueprints, spells and ancient tomes to choose from. Blueprints place new structures, spells can be cast during the night to help repel intruders, and ancient tomes provide unique persistent effects that permanently reinforce the dungeon in different areas. The announced scope includes more than 50 buildings, over 125 minions such as skeletons, slimes and goblins, and upwards of 200 ancient tomes.

The demo is now fully playable as part of the demo festival. During the event, a limited-time challenge is also running, and players who complete it will earn the right to name an “Adventurer” in the game. Development is handled by indie studio KRNK Studios. For fans of dungeon-management hybrids that mix base building with tower defense and auto-battler elements, this demo window is worth a look — the limited-time naming reward adds a small extra incentive to jump in early.
