Taiko no Tatsujin Teams Up With Jagariko for October Collab
Bandai Namco’s arcade rhythm game Taiko no Tatsujin is teaming up with Calbee’s popular snack Jagariko for a collaboration campaign set to begin on October 5, 2026 (Monday). The arcade title, currently operating in game centers, will add an original song written specifically for the event. According to the official press release, players who take part can earn a special collaboration costume themed around the Jagariko snack. The campaign marks another crossover for the long-running drum rhythm game.
At the heart of the campaign is an original track titled “Jagariko Remix” (じゃがりこ りみっくす), created specifically for this collaboration. The song is listed under the Variety genre, with a subtitle crediting “Jagariko × Taiko no Tatsujin.” The music is attributed to Yoshito Yano of BNSI. Rather than licensing an existing tune, the developers produced a brand-new piece for the event, meaning the campaign song is exclusive to this collaboration between the snack brand and the rhythm game.

By playing the campaign song with a Bandai Namco Passport, players can acquire a collaboration kigurumi based on their number of plays. A kigurumi is a type of avatar customization that changes the avatar’s own design, and it cannot be combined with other dress-up options. Notably, even players without a Bandai Namco Passport can still enjoy the kigurumi through the dress-up selection screen. The campaign is described as an in-game item acquisition event tied to play count.
Taiko no Tatsujin is a Japanese drum rhythm game in which players simply strike the drum in time with the music. It features the friendly mascot character Don-chan and appeals to a wide range of ages. First appearing in amusement facilities in 2001, the series has since expanded to home console software and mobile content. More than 6,000 arcade units are installed worldwide. The game supports one to two players at 100 yen (~$0.67) or more per person. For fans of quirky crossovers, this limited-time campaign is one to watch when it arrives in game centers.
