Street Fighter 6 Reveals New Fighter Arjun Ahead of October 13 Debut
A new play report from Famitsu details Arjun, the upcoming completely new character for Capcom’s Street Fighter 6. Arjun joins the roster through an October 13, 2026 update, following Yasmin. He is a former police officer who is suspected of killing a colleague, and he practices a breathing-focused martial art called “Stego Yoga (bare-knuckle yoga).” Unlike fellow yoga user Dhalsim, Arjun is described as a power-type fighter who swings giant rocks and fires air cannons, giving him surprisingly strong ranged options. The report is based on a hands-on trial version.
The report notes that Arjun requires careful preparation to unleash his power. A key tactic is placing the giant rock from below using “Sacred Giant Rock.” While the rock remains on screen, Arjun’s pressure reaches its maximum. Using the rush move “Harsh Rock Shoulder” to touch the rock triggers “Excessive Justice,” a powerful derivation that swings the boulder. On block, it pushes the opponent far away and deals heavy recoverable damage, or “white damage.” Combos starting from Excessive Justice dealt roughly 3,000 to 4,000 damage including recoverable damage. Because the rock setup leaves a large gap unless the first hit connects, players must first score a knockdown.

Arjun’s special moves include a palm-strike that combos from light attacks, stays safe on block, and applies recoverable damage even when guarded, though it is weak to Drive Impact interrupts. A flashy tackle rush offers strong frame advantage on hit and reliably sets up the rock. He also has a projectile that is kicked out at varying angles, ranging from horizontal to 40 degrees and 60 degrees. Additional tools include a command throw with special damage rules, a mobile counter stance compared to Mariza’s Scutum, and the “Ethics Collapse” strike derivation.

The report describes Arjun’s Super Arts as straightforward but more comical in presentation than his specials, a contrast that could form part of his charm. Having his Level 3 Super Art makes other special moves easier to use, notably making it harder for opponents to interrupt combos with Drive Impact, a trait compared to Dee Jay. After about an hour of play, the writer felt Arjun plays like Rashid, a setplay-oriented character who wins through setups. Fans can look forward to experimenting when he joins on October 13.
