Hell Let Loose: Vietnam delivers a stunning visual showcase powered by Unreal Engine 5, with Nanite virtual geometry and Lumen global illumination fully enabled. The 50v50 epic-scale battles look spectacular, but that graphical fidelity comes at a brutal cost. International media recently benchmarked multiple flagship graphics cards at native 4K (3840×2160) with maximum settings, and the results were described as devastating. Only one GPU managed to maintain a stable 60 frames per second in this massive multiplayer environment, highlighting just how demanding the title has become.
According to the benchmark data, the only card capable of consistently exceeding 60 FPS was the flagship RTX 5090 with 32GB of VRAM, recording a minimum of 63 FPS and an average of 72 FPS. The previous generation’s flagship RTX 4090 (24GB) managed just 53 FPS, while the newer RTX 5080 (16GB) fell further to only 44 FPS. The performance gap between generations is significant, with even the latest hardware struggling to handle the game’s extreme rendering load.
The AMD lineup fared no better in the benchmark. The Radeon RX 7900 XTX (24GB) and RX 9070 XT (16GB) both hovered in the 35-37 FPS range, well short of what would be considered a smooth experience. The results indicate that the combination of Unreal Engine 5’s Nanite geometry and Lumen global illumination creates an immense processing burden at native 4K resolution. Even at flagship-tier price points, players are unlikely to achieve playable frame rates without upscaling assistance.
Notably, Hell Let Loose: Vietnam already natively supports DLSS 4.5 upscaling technology, which can deliver substantial frame rate improvements when enabled. For hardcore players who demand native 4K at maximum quality, however, the benchmark serves as a wake-up call — even today’s most powerful flagship barely scrapes by in 50v50 battles. For most players, enabling upscaling will likely be a necessity rather than an option, making the native 4K crowd a very exclusive club.
