Electrician Love: Romance Visual Novel With Exam Prep Hits PC Aug 21

Tsumugi Games has officially opened the store page for its PC visual novel Electrician Love (電工らぶ -ゼロから始める電気工事士-), a title that fuses study material for Japan’s Type 2 Electrician qualification exam with a romance visual novel. The page went live on August 7, 2026, and the game is scheduled for release on August 21. Its premise is decidedly dramatic: a 45-year-old protagonist who ended his life alone is reborn at age 18, where he embarks on a youth-filled story with five heroines while gradually mastering the professional knowledge covered by the exam.
Each of the five heroines brings a distinct area of expertise to the learning experience. Childhood friend Ando Rie handles electrical theory and calculations, while the cool and perfectionist Kurokawa Rin focuses on wiring diagram reading. Energetic junior Tachibana Hinata specializes in electrical appliances, tools, and materials, and the reliable senior Kirishima Saori teaches construction methods and regulations. Rounding out the cast, the strict yet caring teacher Mido Aoi is responsible for practical skills instruction.

The study features go well beyond typical visual novel filler. The game includes 1,000 past exam questions, a mock exam that simulates the official CBT testing environment, 428 memory cards covering wiring symbols and regulations, a built-in AI study assistant, and the illustrated Blackboard Channel series for in-depth explanations. The sheer volume of exam material suggests the game takes its educational mission seriously rather than treating it as a gimmick.

A free demo covering content from the prologue through the protagonist’s meeting with the five heroines is currently available on the official website. The full game launches on August 21 for PC. As an editorial aside, packing 1,000 real past questions alongside a romance narrative makes this one of the most committed edutainment projects in recent memory — the study load alone might rival dedicated online courses.
