Like a Dragon Kiwami 3 DLC Details Revealed Ahead of Launch

Sega has unveiled comprehensive DLC details for the upcoming dual-release title “Like a Dragon: Kiwami 3 / Like a Dragon 3 Gaiden: Dark Ties.” The publisher released an introduction video showcasing multiple downloadable content packs that will enhance the gaming experience. Both the main game and its DLC are scheduled to launch on February 12, 2026, across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PC platforms. This dual release combines a remastered version of 2009’s Yakuza 3 with an entirely new story focusing on antagonist Mine Yoshitaka, offering players two distinct narratives within one package.
The DLC lineup includes five major content packs designed to expand customization and gameplay options. The Legendary Boss & Madam Set allows players to add popular series characters like Daigo Dojima and Goro Majima to the “Bad Dragon” team mechanics. The Legendary Outfit Set enables protagonist Kazuma Kiryu to wear costumes inspired by other series characters or original T-shirt designs. Additional packs focus on visual customization, including motorcycle and battle robe appearances in the Special Customization Set, and comprehensive phone personalization options in the Phone Personalization Set.

A Deluxe Edition bundling the digital version with all DLC content will be available simultaneously with the standard release. Players who pre-order the game before February 11, 2026, at 22:59 Beijing Time will receive Kazuma Kiryu as a special member for the “Bad Dragon” team gameplay mode. The BGM Change Item ‘CD’ Special Set allows players to replace background music with popular karaoke songs from the series while exploring game environments. Each DLC pack has specific unlock requirements tied to story progression in their respective game modes.

A free demo is currently available on all platforms, allowing players to experience both “Like a Dragon: Kiwami 3” and “Like a Dragon 3 Gaiden: Dark Ties” storylines. The demo includes exploration of Okinawa and Tokyo settings, access to various entertainment venues, combat sequences, and select side stories. Save data from the demo cannot be transferred to the full game. The Like a Dragon series, which began in 2005, has sold over 27.7 million copies worldwide and focuses on mature storytelling within Japan’s entertainment district settings. With extensive DLC options and a dual-narrative structure, this release appears positioned to deliver substantial content for both longtime fans and newcomers to the series.
