Privacy Policy

1. Information Collection

Core capture processes video, audio, screenshots and recordings locally by default. Optional online services, support submissions, updates and diagnostics may use network connections as described below. We may process:

• Device Information: When you voluntarily send a feedback email, the email template may include your device model, operating system version, and other information to help us diagnose issues. This information is only submitted when you actively choose to send it.
• App Usage Statistics: We locally record the first installation date and launch count on your device, solely to determine whether to show a rating prompt. This data is stored in your device's local storage and is never uploaded.
• Device and diagnostic data: capture-card VID/PID and chip family, app and OS versions, device model, feature events, pseudonymous installation identifiers, IP address and request metadata may be processed for compatibility, security and reliability. On Android builds with this privacy control, compatibility telemetry is off by default and Crashlytics starts only after you accept the privacy notice; neither channel includes captured media.
• Account, commerce and support data: Jemdo ID, sign-in-provider identifiers, email, profile data, plan, trial, transaction, subscription, refund and entitlement status, plus diagnostics or support messages you submit. Jemdo does not store complete payment-card details.

2. Device Permissions

The App requires the following device permissions to function properly:

• Camera Permission (All Platforms): Used to access the video input signal from your USB capture card.
• Microphone Permission (All Platforms): Used to access the audio input signal from your USB capture card.
• Photo Library/Storage Permission (iPad/Android): Used to save recorded videos and screenshots to your system photo library.
• USB Device Permission (Android): Used to access USB capture card hardware.
• File System Access (macOS/Windows): Used to save recorded files to a directory of your choice.

These permissions are used solely for the App's core features. You can revoke any permission at any time in your system settings.

3. Data Storage

• Recorded Files: Videos, screenshots, and GIF files are saved to your device's local file system or photo library and are never uploaded to any server.
• User Preferences: Settings such as resolution, frame rate, and encoding format are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded.
• Highlight Detection Data: Highlight detection analysis data is stored only in the App's runtime memory and is cleared when you exit the App.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We disclose only what is reasonably necessary:

• To payment, app-store, identity, hosting, analytics, crash-reporting and support providers that process data for the described services.
• When you direct a share or connection, when required by law, or to protect users, Jemdo and the service from fraud or security threats.

5. Third-Party Services

We use service providers only for defined operational purposes. Their own terms and privacy notices may also apply:

• Paddle acts as Merchant of Record for eligible web purchases and processes checkout, tax, payment, fraud, subscription and refund data.
• Apple App Store and Google Play process store purchases; Apple, Google or Microsoft may also provide sign-in and platform services.
• Firebase/Google and Sentry may process crash, performance and diagnostic events configured by the applicable app version. On Android builds with this privacy control, Firebase Analytics is not included and Crashlytics collection starts only after privacy consent.
• Jemdo-operated account, entitlement, telemetry and diagnostic services process the records described in this Policy.
• Google ML Kit on Android performs supported OCR locally. We do not use providers to receive recording content unless you deliberately submit it for support.

Provider availability and configuration vary by platform, region and app version.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Data Security

Since all user content is processed and stored locally on your device, data security primarily depends on your device's own security measures (such as device passcode and biometric authentication). We recommend keeping your device's operating system up to date.

8. Your Rights

Depending on applicable laws, you may have the following data rights:

• Right to Know and Access: Understand what information we collect and how it is used.
• Right to Deletion: You can clear app data or uninstall the App to delete local app data. For support or diagnostic submissions, contact support@jemdogame.com with the ticket identifier to request access, correction or deletion.
• Control of Diagnostics: Optional compatibility telemetry can be left disabled during onboarding. To stop future Crashlytics collection on Android builds with this privacy control, clear app data or uninstall the App; you may then continue without accepting the privacy notice or optional telemetry.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated policy will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. For significant changes, we will notify users through in-app notifications or announcements on our website.

Cookie Usage

Our website uses essential cookies to save your language preferences and cookie consent status. These cookies are not used for tracking, analytics, or advertising purposes. You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings, but this may affect some website functionality.

12. Diagnostic Data Collection

The App includes a One-Click Diagnose feature that only runs when you explicitly tap the button and grant consent. We collect: capture card hardware info, OS and hardware configuration, app version, last 5 MB of redacted application logs, and self-check results. We do not collect your name, email, phone, video/audio/screenshot content, location, contacts, or data from other apps.

• Use: only for technical support and product compatibility improvement; not for advertising or sale to third parties.
• Retention: auto-deleted after 90 days by default. You may email support@jemdogame.com with your ticket ID to request access, deletion or correction.
• You may stop using this feature anytime in app settings. Uploaded data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

13. Optional online services

When you choose to sign in, purchase or restore benefits, redeem a code, or manage devices, we process the account information needed for that service. Core capture does not require a PRO purchase.

• Account: your Jemdo ID, identifiers returned by the sign-in provider you select, linked email, display name, and avatar identify one account and synchronize devices and support records. We do not collect third-party sign-in passwords.
• Membership: order and subscription identifiers, plan, payment status, validity period, and device links are used to verify and restore benefits. Complete card details are handled by the actual payment provider and are not stored by Jemdo. Available payment channels vary by platform and region.
• Use only features available in your installed version. Signing out clears the local session and stops account-benefit sync, but does not cancel a subscription or delete the server-side account.
