Volcano’s Daughter Launches on Switch, PS5, and Mobile With Full Voice Acting
The multi-ending daughter-raising simulation game Volcano’s Daughter (火山の娘) has officially launched today, July 30, 2026, on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, iOS, and Android platforms. Originally released on PC platforms in 2023 to very positive reception, this expanded version brings a wealth of new content to the beloved title. Developed by Egg Hatcher and published by Colorful Palette, the game places players in the role of a widowed father raising his daughter in the Volcano Country — a world where tensions between humans and monsters are rising. Every choice made during upbringing determines the child’s future, leading to over 50 distinct endings for players to discover.
This multiplatform release features newly recorded full voice acting performed by a star-studded Japanese cast. Nakahara Mai reprises the role of the daughter, joined by Inoue Marina, Endo Aya as the character Luka, and Ito Kento among others. Beyond the voice work, the complete edition includes brand-new story content written specifically for this version, additional illustration stills, and a new exploration dungeon. Translations have also been revised for Japanese and English, with Traditional Chinese added as a new language option to accommodate a broader international audience.
For players who already own the game on PC platforms, Colorful Palette has confirmed that all new additions will arrive as a free update around October 2026. The PC version will receive the full voice acting, new story content, dungeon, and translation improvements at no additional cost. Pricing for the console and mobile versions is set at 1,300 yen (~$9 USD / ~¥65 CNY), though the PlayStation 5 version carries a different price point as noted by the publisher. This cross-platform approach ensures that early adopters are not left behind.
To commemorate the launch, Colorful Palette is running a giveaway campaign from July 30 to August 5, 2026.
