REANIMAL DLC ‘The Expanded World’ Revealed with Three-Chapter Campaign
Tarsier Studios has revealed details about the upcoming DLC expansion for their horror adventure game REANIMAL. The DLC titled ‘The Expanded World’ will consist of three chapters and will be released after the base game’s launch. The expansion will feature an original story told from the perspective of a new protagonist, set on the war-ravaged REANIMAL island with new environments and threats awaiting players. The first chapter is scheduled for release in Summer 2026, while the base game itself launches on February 13, 2026, for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC platforms.
The Expanded World DLC will be structured as a three-chapter expansion campaign that continues the REANIMAL narrative. Players will experience the story from a fresh protagonist’s viewpoint, exploring new areas of the island devastated by war. The expansion promises to introduce additional environments and threats that weren’t present in the main game. This approach allows Tarsier Studios to expand the game’s universe while providing existing players with substantial new content to explore after completing the base campaign.
The Deluxe Edition of REANIMAL includes the REANIMAL Season Pass, which grants access to all three chapters of The Expanded World DLC. Currently, the Deluxe Edition is available for pre-order at a 10% discount through various digital storefronts. Each DLC chapter will also be available for individual purchase after release. The base game is a horror adventure title supporting 1-2 players in both online and offline cooperative play, rated CERO D for players aged 17 and above.
To celebrate REANIMAL’s launch, Tarsier Studios will host a special signing event on February 14, 2026, at the INFOLENS GEEK SHOP in Ikebukuro Parco. Studio co-founder and producer Andreas Johnsson and narrative director David Mervik will attend to sign special illustration cards and interact with Japanese fans. The shop will also feature a playable demo of the game from February 13-15. A free demo version is currently available for all platforms, allowing players to experience the game’s unsettling atmosphere and cooperative gameplay mechanics. With its three-chapter DLC plan already announced before launch, REANIMAL appears to have substantial post-launch support planned for horror adventure fans.
