Prime Video August 2026 Lineup: FNAF 2, Assassination Classroom, Madoka
Prime Video has unveiled its full lineup of new titles arriving in August 2026, and the schedule is packed with anime features, game adaptations, and a massive library of Kamen Rider films. Highlights include the theatrical anime Assassination Classroom the Movie: Everyone’s Time, the horror game adaptation Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, and the complete Puella Magi Madoka Magica trilogy. The month also brings The Long Walk, the Stephen King adaptation that debuted in theaters this June, alongside exclusive Prime Original dramas. The full August schedule was detailed in the platform’s official announcement.
Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, based on the hit horror game series, joins the August lineup with a fast-track streaming release. The Long Walk arrives exclusively on August 21 as an adaptation of Stephen King’s long-lost debut novel, directed by Francis Lawrence of The Hunger Games series. Set in a near-future America divided by war, the story depicts a brutal endurance contest in which 50 young men must keep walking at 4.8 km/h, receive warnings if they slow down, face instant death after three warnings, and continue until only one remains, all while surrounded by armored vehicles and aimed rifles.

Assassination Classroom the Movie: Everyone’s Time streams exclusively from August 7 as the third project in the anime’s 10th anniversary initiative, marking a decade since the TV series and original manga concluded. The film reunites the familiar voice cast, including Jun Fukuyama as Koro-sensei, and follows Class 3-E of Kunugigaoka Junior High as they look back on their time with the mysterious super-creature, with just 15 days remaining before the assassination deadline. The Puella Magi Madoka Magica theatrical trilogy — Beginnings, Eternal, and Rebellion — also joins the August lineup.

From August 29, an enormous collection of Kamen Rider titles, including theatrical films, will be added in a single wave spanning the series’ long history. Other standout additions include the TOKYO MER sequel Nankai Mission, which surpassed 5.29 billion yen (~$36 million) at the box office, debuting August 12 as an exclusive, plus the Prime Original mystery series Mystery Arena on August 14. Reacher Season 4 lands August 12, while 99.9 -Criminal Lawyer- Season II becomes available from August 1. With FNAF 2, the anniversary anime film, and the Kamen Rider flood all in one month, August looks like an ideal time for genre fans to clear their watchlists.
