Pokemon Custom Outfits Hinted in New Pokemon Pokopia DLC Details
New details have emerged regarding the Expansion Pass for Pokemon Pokopia, shedding light on the content and features coming across its three-part release cycle. During last week’s Nintendo Direct, the publisher officially announced a paid DLC alongside a free update for all players, introducing a new explorable area and underwater exploration mechanics. Now, additional information from retailer-listed digital download card images has painted a clearer picture of what fans can expect when the first part launches in August 2026. The images, spotted at multiple online retailers, include several intriguing visual hints about new Pokemon and potential gameplay features.
Among the most notable discoveries from the download card artwork is the appearance of Snubbull, a Pokemon not currently present in Pokemon Pokopia. The inclusion strongly suggests that its evolution, Granbull, will also be added to the game. Additionally, the left side of the artwork clearly focuses on the August content, confirming the arrival of Popplio and Manaphy as new Pokemon. These additions, combined with the previously announced underwater exploration feature, point to a significant expansion of the game’s roster and mechanics when Part 1 launches.
The most eye-catching detail, however, appears on the right side of the artwork. Both Snubbull and Pikachu are shown wearing various accessories — Snubbull sports a bow tie, while Pikachu is adorned with wings and a hat. This strongly suggests that costume customization for Pokemon will be a key feature in the Expansion Pass. While Koei Tecmo has confirmed that Part 2, arriving later in 2026, will not include a new town, it appears the customization feature will serve as that update’s main draw. It remains unclear whether all Pokemon will support outfits or if players can design custom looks.
Part 1 of the Expansion Pass is scheduled to launch in August 2026, introducing a new town called Bubble Basin alongside underwater exploration and the confirmed new Pokemon. Koei Tecmo has explicitly stated that Part 2 will not add a new town, instead focusing on the Pokemon costume customization system. While some fans may be disappointed by the absence of a new location in the second update, the variety of additions across the expansion cycle — from new creatures and environments to the promising customization system — provides plenty to look forward to.
