Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf Officially Released Worldwide
Wishfully Studios and Thunderful have officially released Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf, the highly anticipated sequel to the cinematic puzzle adventure. The game launched on March 5, 2026, across multiple platforms including PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch systems. This sequel offers approximately double the content of the original, taking players to previously unexplored regions of the planet Novo. The game continues the story of protagonist Lana and her companion Mui, featuring enhanced gameplay mechanics and a completely dialogue-free narrative experience.
Planet of Lana II introduces significant gameplay improvements, with a grown-up Lana now capable of wall-jumping and more agile movement actions. The partner system with Mui has evolved to feature more complex physics-based cooperative puzzles. Players will explore new environments including snow-covered mountains, dangerous underwater areas, and encounter massive creatures while meeting friendly forest-dwelling tribes. The game maintains its signature cinematic presentation while expanding the scope of exploration and puzzle-solving mechanics that made the original so compelling.
The sequel continues the series’ unique approach to storytelling, featuring no voice dialogue whatsoever. Instead, the narrative unfolds through visuals, music, and player actions. An orchestral soundtrack accompanies the 6-8 hour adventure as players uncover new truths about the planet’s secrets and Mui’s past. Creative director Adam Stjarnljus stated that the team aimed to evolve every aspect from the first game, creating more engaging puzzles, memorable locations, and elevating the story and world to new dimensions.
The game is available now on all major platforms, with a “Supporters Pack” also released alongside the main game. This pack includes a digital artbook, a Novo language guide for the game’s fictional language, and PC-exclusive wallpapers and themes. The game supports over 20 languages including English, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and multiple European languages.
