INDUSTRIA 2 Delayed Two Weeks to April 29 for Polish

Publisher Headup Games and developer Bleakmill have announced a delay for the upcoming first-person narrative shooter INDUSTRIA 2. The sequel was originally scheduled to launch on April 15 for PC platforms, but has now been pushed back to April 29. The developers expressed understanding of player disappointment, particularly for those who had cleared their schedules to play the game at launch. They acknowledged that the studio “made promises but failed to deliver” and apologized for the last-minute change.
The sole reason for the delay, according to the developers, is to make the game more attractive and polished for all players. Bleakmill emphasized that the project is being developed by an eight-person team, making the completion of a high-detail single-player first-person shooter campaign extremely challenging. The developers also admitted they “exceeded their capabilities” while attempting to reach the quality levels inspired by games like Half-Life, BioShock, and Resident Evil.

INDUSTRIA 2 is built on Unreal Engine 5 and utilizes Lumen technology, which should ensure modern lighting and graphical standards. The game focuses on a content-rich but compact adventure with an estimated playtime of several hours, emphasizing atmosphere, sound design, and visual style. The sequel continues the story from the first game, with players once again taking on the role of Nora, who finds herself in a dark parallel world controlled by artificial intelligence.

The project blends exploration, combat against mechanical enemies, and narrative focus as key gameplay elements. The small team size presents significant challenges in delivering a polished experience that meets the high standards set by its inspirations. While the two-week delay is relatively short, it reflects the developers’ commitment to quality over meeting an arbitrary deadline. For fans of atmospheric first-person shooters, this extra polish could make the difference between a good game and a great one when INDUSTRIA 2 arrives later this month.
