GTA 6 Screenshots Questioned as Dragon’s Dogma 2 Gets Major Price Cut

A wave of major gaming news has emerged, headlined by technical scrutiny of Grand Theft Auto 6’s newly released screenshots and a significant price reduction for Dragon’s Dogma 2. Digital Foundry (known as Shu Maoshe) has raised questions about the authenticity of Rockstar’s official GTA 6 screenshots, while Capcom has permanently lowered the price of Dragon’s Dogma 2 on PC. Additionally, new details have surfaced regarding potential GTA 6 modular installation options and Sony’s plans for future PlayStation hardware. The news comes as GTA 6 pre-orders officially open, with a confirmed release window of late 2026.
Following the opening of GTA 6 pre-orders, Rockstar released the first batch of official game screenshots, sparking debate within the technical community. Digital Foundry conducted a detailed analysis and concluded that while the images are visually impressive, they are likely not real-time renders from current-generation consoles. Instead, the outlet suggested these are “Bullshots” — promotional-grade renders produced in a development environment rather than gameplay captures. This distinction matters for players hoping to see what the final console experience will actually look like.

Capcom has implemented a permanent price drop for Dragon’s Dogma 2 on the PC platform. According to data, the standard edition in the China region has been reduced from its launch price of ¥348 (~$48) to ¥198 (~$27), representing a discount of over 40%. This new pricing makes the China region the most affordable globally for the title. The significant reduction positions the game more competitively in the market, potentially attracting players who were previously hesitant about the higher launch price.

Additional GTA 6 information has emerged from pre-order backend data, suggesting the game may support modular installation with the story mode appearing as a separate optional add-on, allowing players to install only specific components. Sony and Rockstar have jointly confirmed that the PS5 version will deliver the best experience when GTA 6 launches on November 19, 2026. Meanwhile, leaker Moore’s Law is Dead has suggested that Sony may employ frame generation technology in the PS6 to deliver a 4K/120fps-like experience while keeping hardware costs under control, leveraging AI, ray tracing, and PSSR technology according to leaked slides.
