God Gundam and Freedom Gundam Arrive in Gundam Battle Operation 2

Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced new content updates for Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation 2, the free-to-play online team battle game available on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. Following the April 30 maintenance, two highly anticipated mobile suits will be added to the PS5/PS4 version over two consecutive weeks. The God Gundam from Mobile Fighter G Gundam arrives on April 30, while the Freedom Gundam from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED will follow on May 7. Both units have already appeared on the PC platform version previously. A Golden Week campaign also kicks off on April 30, running until May 14.
The God Gundam joins as a ground and space-compatible Raid type at COST 700 LV1. It features special skills including Super Mode LV1 and Meikyoshisui LV1, along with Heavy Attack (D), the God Slash [Wave] sub-weapon, and the iconic Sekiha Tenkyoken — all usable in mid-air, enabling three-dimensional close-quarters combat. The Freedom Gundam arrives on May 7 as a ground and space-compatible General type at COST 700 LV1, equipped with Phase Shift Armor LV1 and High Mobility Aerial Combat Mode LV1. It also gains enhanced fin boosters, aerial control programs, and added fall prevention control for improved aerial maneuverability. These adjustments will also apply to the PC version at the same time.

The Golden Week campaign runs from April 30 to May 14, featuring enhanced facilities with increased success rates and triple enhancement values when acquiring duplicate mobile suits. The expansion facility offers limited-time special maintenance staff Leona and Tinda, guaranteeing skill levels of 4 or higher. A God Gundam guaranteed STEP UP supply drop is available until May 7, offering the new customization part Educational Computer [Special Melee] LV1. The Lacus and Mia VR communicator token packs are also available again from April 30 to May 28 for those who missed previous opportunities. Guaranteed customization parts STEP UP drops will run for two consecutive weeks as well.

The PC version of Battle Operation 2 is celebrating its upcoming third anniversary at the end of May with a pre-festival event starting April 30. Wing Gundam Zero [EW] LV2 becomes available, accompanied by guaranteed STEP UP supply drops for both LV1 and LV2 variants that offer the Type Special Attack Program [Raid] customization part. Token packs featuring Heero, Aina, and Chris are available, with Chris making her first appearance on the PC platform. Additional benefits include one free special supply drop per day, container discovery rates increased from 10 percent to 50 percent, and limited-time missions offering mobile suits and various rewards. A voting event for desired MS is also underway. With a roster of over 540 mobile suits and free-to-play 6v6 gameplay, the title continues to expand its offerings for Gundam fans across platforms.
