Game Inn Unveils New IP ‘A Spirit Shop on the Mountain’ and AI Streamer

The 2026 New Game Preview and Overseas Traffic Conference wrapped up on July 28 at Shanghai’s Hongqiao Jinsha VOCO Hotel, centered on the theme ‘AI Reconstructing Game Going Global.’ Industry leaders from game development, publishing, traffic platforms, and data analytics gathered to explore new routes for the industry in the AI era. During the event, Game Inn CEO Sui Xinyan — also vice chairman of the Macau Aoqin Culture and Technology Industry Association — unveiled the company’s first original IP, 山上有座万灵铺 (A Spirit Shop on the Mountain). The literary work, co-created with Liu Yimeng, has reached 300,000 characters and unfolds around a mysterious pawnshop hidden in the mountains, featuring four leads in a dual male and dual female structure.
Built around the new IP, Game Inn’s first virtual game streamer, Xiao Shiqi, has officially launched on the company’s video channel. Described with waist-length pink hair, a white Chinese stand-collar top with frog buttons, a pink apron-style belt, and a red bracelet on her right wrist, she has a lively and cheerful personality. Xiao Shiqi serves as both Game Inn’s virtual ambassador and the ‘guide’ into the world of A Spirit Shop on the Mountain, leading viewers into a fantastical Eastern universe. Powered by AI digital human technology, she supports real-time voice interaction, intelligent Q&A, and content narration — marking Game Inn’s first major step into AI-powered content creation.

Sui Xinyan also shared his take on AI adoption: ‘In 2026, AI is no longer a question of whether to use it, but how deeply and how quickly to use it.’ According to research data presented by Game Inn, AI replacement in game development exceeded 50 percent in the first half of 2026, and surpassed 70 percent in publishing and operations. Sui predicts the ceiling will land around 90 percent, with the remaining 10 percent — creativity, emotion, and cultural depth — beyond AI’s reach. The A Spirit Shop on the Mountain project reflects that philosophy: using AI to lift efficiency while preserving the soul of Eastern culture.

The IP will be developed across several formats: continued novel serialization to enrich the world and characters; an AI interactive game based on the novel, expected within the year; virtual content starring Xiao Shiqi, including short videos and livestreams; licensed character merchandise and cultural products; and a cultural export push bringing Eastern xianxia culture to global audiences through AI. Game Inn aims to build A Spirit Shop on the Mountain into a full-chain IP spanning novels, games, video, livestreaming, and merchandise. It is an ambitious experiment in AI-era storytelling — and one worth watching for fans of AI-driven cultural projects.
