Game Freak’s Beast of Reincarnation Pre-Order Details Leaked
New details have emerged about Game Freak’s upcoming action RPG Beast of Reincarnation (轮回之兽), including pre-order information and edition specifics. According to insider billbil-kun, pre-orders for the game will begin on April 16. The title is described as a souls-like action role-playing game from the studio best known for the Pokémon series. The leak reveals pricing for both standard and deluxe editions, along with various pre-order bonuses and physical release details for different platforms.
The standard edition of Beast of Reincarnation will retail for $59.99 (~¥430), while the deluxe edition is priced at $69.99 (~¥500). Players who pre-order the game will receive bonus content including a brown Shiba Inu skin for the companion dog “Xiao Ku” and 30,000 units of in-game currency called Amber. The deluxe edition offers additional items: both black and brown Shiba Inu skins for Xiao Ku, the Oni’s Hat headgear for protagonist Emma, her weapon called Big Dipper, 100,000 Amber, and a set of vegetable seedlings.
The game will receive physical releases alongside digital versions. PlayStation 5 players will have access to both standard and deluxe edition boxed copies. However, according to the insider information, Xbox players will only be able to purchase the standard edition in physical disc format. This platform-specific distribution strategy for physical editions suggests different retail arrangements for the two console platforms.
Beast of Reincarnation is set in a post-apocalyptic Japan where players control an exiled woman named Emma and her loyal, infected dog companion Xiao Ku. Together they traverse a world shrouded in mysterious corruption, battling dangerous enemies while uncovering the secrets of a destroyed civilization. Developers emphasize the “one person, one dog” concept, with the companion playing a significant role in both combat and world exploration. During the adventure, players will face powerful bosses and can acquire their abilities. The game is currently expected to release in August 2026. With pre-orders opening months ahead of launch and limited marketing so far, it remains to be seen how many players will commit early to this ambitious departure from Game Freak’s usual fare.
