Doraemon’s Dorayaki Shop Story Switch Physical Edition Arrives April 16
Kairosoft has announced that the physical edition of Doraemon’s Dorayaki Shop Story will launch for Nintendo Switch on April 16, 2026. Pre-orders for the package version began on February 12, 2026. The game is a Japanese sweets shop management simulation where players help Doraemon and Nobita assist an injured dorayaki shop owner. The title features characters from multiple works by Fujiko F. Fujio, including Doraemon, Kiteretsu Encyclopedia, and Perman. The physical edition will include a special guidebook as a permanent bonus.
In Doraemon’s Dorayaki Shop Story, players combine ingredients to create new products, such as mixing dorayaki skin, red bean paste, and chestnuts to make chestnut dorayaki. The game allows creation of various Japanese sweets beyond dorayaki, including sakura mochi and three-color dango. Players can use secret tools like the Cloud Solidifying Gas and Pee-Hyoro-Rope to build entertainment facilities, and construct buildings like a croquette shop that certain characters love. The game features an original story unique to this title.
When facing difficulties in shop management, players can utilize Doraemon’s secret tools. The Time Machine allows shopping at the Future Department Store, while the Anywhere Door helps search for ingredients. The Come-Come Cat can attract customers, and the Anki Bread can boost companion abilities. Players aim to win contests with their proud Japanese sweets, achieve top sales rankings, and work with Doraemon, Nobita, and their usual friends to become Japan’s number one Japanese sweets shop.
The Nintendo Switch physical edition is priced at 3,800 yen (~$25) including tax, or 3,455 yen (~$23) excluding tax. The game supports 15 languages: Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Thai, French, German, Portuguese, Russian, Turkish, Hindi, Italian, Spanish, and Indonesian. This extensive language support makes the game accessible to international audiences. With its charming premise and crossover appeal featuring beloved Fujiko F. Fujio characters, this management simulation offers a unique twist on the genre for fans of the iconic franchise.
