Trick × Trick Launches on PC: Superpower Mystery Death Game Begins
Independent developer Akizuki Yume has released the new PC title Trick × Trick (トリックトリック) today, August 15, 2026. The mystery adventure game revolves around a “superpowers × mystery × death game” theme, in which 12 high school students trapped inside a strange building are dragged into a life-or-death game where they must suspect one another and uncover the mastermind behind it all. Players investigate incidents, collect evidence, and close in on the truth through debate. A limited-time launch sale is currently underway, offering the game at 20% off — 1,200 yen (~$8 / ~¥58) instead of the regular 1,500 yen (~$10 / ~¥72). The title arrives on PC following a release delay.
The story takes place in a mysterious building where 12 high school students are confined. Players investigate the unexplained incidents occurring one after another, gathering evidence while hunting for the identity of the mastermind. In this extreme situation, the culprit must be found through voting or assassination. During trials, debates unfold in real time, and players must spot contradictions in the discussion and present evidence to corner the suspect. The characters’ “superpowers” are deeply tied to the cases and tricks, promising a deduction experience that is far from straightforward.

Trick × Trick packs a hefty amount of content, with scenario text exceeding 200,000 characters and an estimated completion time of around 15 hours. The game also includes opening and ending theme songs that add color to its world. On the audio side, the voice cast was chosen through anonymous auditions, with around 3,000 applications received and performers selected by vote — an approach designed to cast the most fitting voices without preconceived notions. The release is Japanese-language only, and all screenshots shown so far are from development builds that may differ from the final product.

Character designs are handled by Guu, while Usapon’s design and key visuals come from Uzu. The opening theme “Brand New Blood” is performed by Ageha Kocho with words and music by Ryu Kodama, and the ending theme “Elegy of You” is performed by Kumabachi Ema with words and music by Yoshino. Usapon is voiced by Polka Omaru, among a full cast of anonymous-audition winners. With its 15-hour story, superpower-driven tricks, and discounted launch price, Trick × Trick looks like a promising pick for fans of death-game mystery narratives.
