TGS 2026: Nine Playable Titles Unveiled by Kakehashi and Devolver
Kakehashi Games has announced its full Tokyo Game Show 2026 booth lineup, where it will share space with Devolver Digital in a joint presentation. Nine titles will be on display, and every one of them will be playable on site. The selection includes three Japanese demo premieres — Epoch Reset, What Goes Up, and Greak 2: Alliance of the Storm — plus three titles making their first appearance at a Japanese event: HYPERDROP, Stronghold 4, and Fool King. TGS 2026 runs September 17–21 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, with September 17–18 reserved for business days.
Among the highlights are three playable demos making their Japanese-language debut. Epoch Reset is a 2.5D anime adventure following Hector, a destitute genius and inventor of the world’s first time machine, as he battles a force that distorts time itself. What Goes Up casts players as employees of the Galactic Refuse Co., tasked with cleaning trash-littered, hazardous planets in a cooperative physics-building game playable in two-player co-op. Greak 2: Alliance of the Storm continues the hand-drawn Metroidvania adventure, with siblings Greak and Adara separated across parallel dimensions as they work together to recover the last Storm Egg, playable solo or with a partner.
Three more titles will appear at a Japanese event for the first time. HYPERDROP is an addictive physics-based pachinko roguelite built around chain reactions, sky-high scores, and game-breaking combos. Stronghold 4 returns to the untold origins of the castle-building simulation series as a prequel, featuring a cinematic campaign, fresh skirmish mechanics, and extensive castle customization. Fool King is a strategic auto-battler with asynchronous PvP, tasking players with dethroning the Fool King by recruiting and upgrading troops and shaping battle formations. All three demos will be playable at the joint booth.
The remaining playable titles round out the booth’s variety. Algolemeth is an RPG in which players control a golem’s actions through visual programming to conquer dungeons automatically, scored by veteran composer Yuzo Koshiro. Serial World is a deck-building RPG starring young Milo and the mysterious Anima creatures. Deep Dish Dungeon blends Metroidvania exploration with cooking and crafting for teams of up to three, offering a solo demo of its opening stages. The roster targets releases between 2026 and 2027, with Deep Dish Dungeon carrying the only specific date of October 14, 2026. Kakehashi Games, which has supported over 300 titles since its 2013 founding, also confirmed Epoch Reset for a 2027 launch. Given the genre range and the Japanese demo premieres, this joint booth looks like a strong cross-section of indie gaming at TGS 2026.
