Square Enix TGS 2026 Booth Features FF7 Photo Spots and Giant Meteor
Tokyo Game Show 2026 is running from September 17 to September 21 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan, with September 17 and 18 reserved as business days. At the Square Enix booth in Hall 3 (03-S01), the publisher has assembled a large showcase centered on Final Fantasy VII alongside several of its other franchises. According to an on-site Famitsu report, the booth combines photo spots, playable demos, and a range of limited-edition novelties. A giant meteor object dominates the center of the space, mirroring the iconic symbol drawn in the Final Fantasy VII logo.
Three dedicated photo spots anchor the booth. One recreates the first boss encounter, letting visitors pose with the Buster Sword against the Guard Scorpion. Another restages the Forgotten Capital scene, where fans can try to protect Aerith from the approaching Sephiroth. A third spot for the new title FF7 Revelation lets visitors ride the in-game motorcycle named Hardy-Daytona while facing Diamond Weapon. Free pamphlets are also being handed out, with Final Fantasy VII artwork on the cover, and an original bag is available only on public days while supplies last.
In the Final Fantasy VII zone, a playable exhibit offers three data options: a NEW GAME segment covering the story’s opening, a mid-game Dungeon challenge, and an Arena battle against strong enemies. Those who try the demo receive limited novelties, including a retro package-style box and a Final Fantasy trading card game PR card of Feena. A large wall art built from pixel characters is on display, and a spot-the-difference campaign invites visitors to compare it with the illustration printed in the booth pamphlet.
Another trial corner offers two options: “Rescue the Lost Gon,” which showcases the world and basic systems, and “Evil Dragon Gwain,” a battle against a strong foe. Players receive a snowman-shaped ice pack as a gift. The booth also distributes original fans featuring eight protagonists, and hosts a hero photo session with Kaiketsu Robin. At the Dragon Quest Monsters 4: Bianca and Flora of the Withered Tree Country corner, the spirit Watabou appears for greetings; visitors get a Watabou & Slime sticker, while survey respondents receive a tote bag. For fans attending in person, the sheer variety of themed activities makes this one of the more packed booths at the show.
