Square Enix has announced the release of new T-shirts featuring Dragon Quest’s iconic Slime and Final Fantasy’s beloved Chocobo, both designed with a vibrant Shibuya-inspired theme. The shirts will launch on July 24, 2026, and will be sold exclusively at the official SQUARE ENIX GARDEN merchandise shop located in Tokyo’s Shibuya district. This marks the third volume in the SHIBUYA ART series, presenting the two classic mascots in colorful, pop-style illustrations that evoke the energetic atmosphere of the famous Tokyo neighborhood. The new collection includes two designs each under “SHIBUYA ART Dragon Quest T-Shirt Vol. 3” and “SHIBUYA ART Final Fantasy T-Shirt Vol. 3,” for a total of four shirts. The Dragon Quest Slime and Final Fantasy Chocobo are rendered in eye-catching artwork that captures Shibuya’s lively urban spirit through a colorful and pop-art aesthetic. The illustrations draw inspiration from the district’s neon-lit streets and vibrant atmosphere, giving these classic characters a fresh, contemporary makeover that continues the series’ tradition of creatively blending Square Enix icons with local Tokyo culture.

The T-shirts are available in a single one-size-fits-all design, with dimensions measuring 73 cm in length, 55 cm in width, 50 cm in shoulder width, and 22 cm in sleeve length. Each shirt retails for 4,950 yen including tax, which translates to roughly $33 (~¥240). Purchases can be made starting July 24, 2026, exclusively at the SQUARE ENIX GARDEN shop in Shibuya, Tokyo. Square Enix president Takashi Kiryu announced the release, with the company emphasizing the fresh visual direction that gives the beloved franchise mascots a distinctly Shibuya-inspired identity.

These T-shirts offer enthusiasts of both legendary RPG series a stylish way to showcase their fandom with a distinctly Tokyo-flavored design. The Shibuya-inspired artwork breathes new life into the classic characters, setting them apart from standard merchandise. For collectors of Square Enix apparel, this third volume continues an appealing themed series that fans will likely want to add to their wardrobe.
