Soul Eater: Blue Pieta Reveals Voice Cast and 2026 Release Plans
Publisher CFK has announced voice cast details and release plans for Soul Eater: Blue Pieta, the upcoming side-scrolling bullet hell shooter from Korean developer DeerFarm. The game is a sequel to the previous title that launched in 2024 and received positive reception worldwide. This installment introduces a new story where an Eastern apprentice death god meets a Western vampire hunter in a foreign city, marking the series’ first transition to side-scrolling gameplay. The game will feature full voice acting with a notable cast of popular voice actors from the anime Bocchi the Rock!.
The voice cast includes Aoyama Yoshino as Layla the vampire hunter, Hasegawa Ikumi as Chae Woori the apprentice death god, and Suzushiro Sayumi as the boss character Sister Maria. All three voice actors previously performed together as members of the main band in the popular anime Bocchi the Rock!, creating a sense of unity in the casting. Aoyama Yoshino, known for her role as Hitori Gotou in Bocchi the Rock!, will portray Layla’s confident strength and charm as a vampire hunter who has long fought darkness alone in foreign lands. Hasegawa Ikumi will bring to life the earnest and straightforward nature of Chae Woori, while Suzushiro Sayumi will express Sister Maria’s mysterious atmosphere.
Soul Eater: Blue Pieta adopts a side-scrolling perspective for the first time in the series, departing from the traditional vertical scrolling format common in bullet hell shooters. The game promises a new bullet hell experience unique to the series with this gameplay shift. It will support 1-2 players and include Japanese, English, Korean, and Chinese language options. The PC version is scheduled for release in the first half of 2026, with Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PlayStation 5 versions planned to follow afterward.
