Porsche Adds $1,500 Half-Day GT3 Drift Course for 2027

Porsche has announced that its 2027 Track Experience program will add a half-day GT3 drift course priced at $1,500 (~¥10,034), alongside a three-day GT3 advanced driving course costing $23,000 (~¥154,000). Both new programs will be offered exclusively at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama. According to the manufacturer, this is the first time Porsche has dedicated an entire driving training course to a single model, with every session run using only the 911 GT3.
The more affordable GT Drift program begins with a short theory lesson on vehicle dynamics before participants move onto a skid pad. There, drivers work on trail braking into corners, body attitude control and drifting techniques. The course occupies half a day and is positioned as an entry point into sliding car control rather than full circuit driving.

The new Masters GT course is aimed at more experienced drivers and sits at the top of Porsche’s Track Experience lineup. It runs three days and is invitation-only, open solely to students who have completed the Masters RS training. Day one takes place at the Barber test facility for advanced vehicle control work, followed by two days on the racetrack alternating free laps with driving data review, plus extra track time, one-on-one coaching and in-depth performance analysis.
Both additions form part of Porsche’s wider training system at Barber Motorsports Park and Laguna Seca. Existing courses include the one-day Precision program at $2,500 (~¥16,723) at Barber and $3,600 (~¥24,082) at Laguna Seca, the two-day Performance course at $5,000 (~¥33,447) and $6,700 (~¥44,818), and the three-day Masters course at $6,600 (~¥44,150) and $9,200 (~¥61,542). For enthusiasts drawn to the 911 GT3, the drift course looks like the most accessible way into Porsche’s most model-focused training yet.
