Pokemon-Themed Desserts Launch July 31 at Ginza Cozy Corner
Ginza Cozy Corner has announced a new line of Pokemon-themed sweets inspired by the Nintendo Switch 2 title Poko a Pokemon, set to launch on July 31, 2026. The collaboration features two main products: a Metamon-shaped cake in blueberry yogurt flavor and a nine-piece assorted cake collection showcasing various Pokemon from the game. The desserts are modeled after the unique, quirky Pokemon designs that appear in the title, including alternate forms such as a lighter-colored Pikachu and a moss-covered Snorlax. Each sweet incorporates themed flavors and decorative elements that reflect the characteristics of the featured Pokemon.
The star of the lineup is the Metamon Cake, priced at 777 yen (~$5). This blueberry yogurt flavored dessert features multiple layers, starting with blueberry cream on top, followed by matcha sponge cake, blueberry jam, yogurt-flavored cream, and a blueberry-flavored sponge at the base. The cake is designed to resemble the shapeshifting Pokemon Metamon, making it a visually distinctive treat. Its layered composition offers a blend of fruity and creamy flavors that match the character’s playful nature.

The Poko a Pokemon Collection (9-piece set) is priced at 3,564 yen (~$24) and includes nine different mini cakes representing Pokemon from the game. The lineup features Snorlax (mossy) as a matcha roll cake, Pikachu as a banana and condensed milk cream roll cake, Metamon (transformed into Lapras) as soda-flavored jelly, Squirtle as an orange cream cake with soda glaze, Metamon as a blueberry cream tart with jam, Bulbasaur as a pistachio cream and cocoa sponge cake, light-colored Pikachu as a vanilla cream tart, Charmander as a vanilla cream cake with raspberry glaze, and Professor Mojanbo as a soda-flavored cream tart. Purchasers of the collection will also receive an original sticker on a first-come basis.

These limited-time confections celebrate the unique Pokemon designs featured in Poko a Pokemon, a title developed for Nintendo Switch 2 that showcases the creatures in amusing alternate forms. Ginza Cozy Corner’s attention to detail in translating each Pokemon’s appearance into distinct cake flavors and decorations makes this collaboration appealing for both Pokemon fans and dessert enthusiasts. The July 31 release date gives fans something sweet to look forward to alongside the game.
