Point-and-Click Mystery Lost Museum Arrives Summer 2027; TGS 2026 Demo
Happinet has announced the point-and-click adventure Lost Museum -Kaigami Tsui Sou Tan- (カイガミ追想譚), coming to Nintendo Switch 2 and PC in summer 2027, alongside the opening of a teaser site and release of a teaser trailer. The game unfolds in the Lost Museum, an art museum where Kaigami dwell—beings born from the emotions and memories sealed within paintings, each missing precious fragments of memory. Tokyo-based Happinet, whose label curates quality indie titles from around the world, will present a playable demo of the in-development game at Tokyo Game Show 2026.
The story follows Vince, a gentle boy who wanders into the otherworldly museum while searching for his missing older brother. After obtaining a magic pen with strange powers inside the gallery, he interacts with the Kaigami, who bear unusual heads and lack crucial memories of their own. Core gameplay revolves around point-and-click exploration across the museum, where players gather clues from paintings, furnishings, and conversations with the Kaigami. Collected clues can then be organized and analyzed to interpret the feelings held within each lost memory, and deductive reasoning is used to restore those memories and unveil the hidden pasts behind the artwork.

TGS 2026 takes place September 17–21 at Makuhari Messe, with September 19–21 open to the public following business days on the 17th and 18th. At Happinet’s booth, attendees can try the developing game and browse three-dimensional displays styled after the museum’s exhibition areas, plus photo spots with life-size panels of Kaigami Sunny, Madame, Ryu, and Nefia; Novi appears as a plush, and a Sunny cosplayer is scheduled. Giveaways include an A4 clear file featuring the main visual, a Novi phone sticker for demo players, and clear bookmarks for those who follow official social accounts or add the game to a wishlist. Details and novelty items are subject to change and limited in quantity.

The museum’s residents include Novi, the first Kaigami Vince meets—childlike, curious, and used to solitude with only books for company—as well as a gentleman host who loves cooking, though his homemade tea blend is not well received. Madame is a perfectionist who adores music; the hearty Ryu counts soba-making among his skills; and outspoken Nefia is described as twin-like to a water-lily Kaigami named Lilia. Lost Museum -Kaigami Tsui Sou Tan- launches in summer 2027 for Nintendo Switch 2 (package and download versions) and PC, with pricing unannounced. Languages include Japanese, English, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, and Korean; CERO rating is pending, and play is single-player only. With its painterly premise and full Chinese-language support, this contemplative mystery is one to watch as development continues.
