GTA 6 Vice City Convoy Spotted in Miami, Fueling Trailer Rumors

Rockstar Games’ real-world marketing push for Grand Theft Auto 6 appears to be accelerating well beyond what players expected. Recently, videos circulating online captured a convoy of customized vehicles wearing “Vice City” and “Leonida” license plates driving in formation through the streets of Miami. The group was accompanied by vehicles carrying large filming equipment and aerial drones, quickly fueling speculation that the studio is secretly producing a live-action trailer. As of now, Rockstar Games has issued no official statement about the Miami shoot or what the footage might eventually be used for.
Footage from the scene suggests the convoy was far more elaborate than a typical car meet. The lineup reportedly consisted of roughly ten vehicles, with Florida Highway Patrol cars running ahead of and behind the pack. Between them were several models that closely match cars seen in GTA 6’s trailers and screenshots. Every vehicle carried a uniform “VICE CITY” game plate, an unusual level of coordination that convinced onlookers this was a staged promotional shoot rather than an ordinary enthusiast gathering.

Among the most notable vehicles was a Lamborghini police car finished in a “Vice City Police Department” (VCPD) livery, alongside a McLaren modified to resemble the in-game Progen Emerus. The lineup also included a real-world take on the Grotti Cheetah Classic, modeled on a Ferrari Testarossa, and a D10 built on a Chevrolet Corvette C8, plus another Emerus. American-style low riders and hi-risers rounded out the group, echoing the vehicle culture tied to the game’s setting.
The unusual scale of the operation gave the live-action trailer theory a logical footing. Sharp-eyed fans not only identified the modified cars but also confirmed the presence of a camera crew, leading some players to suggest Rockstar may be funding a high-budget live-action promotional piece. The studio recently chose to release its previous trailer early, which some observers believe could be a move to clear space for a live-action video before launch. Rockstar has made no comment. If the shoot is what it appears to be, it would mark a notable escalation in the game’s marketing campaign.
