FMV Romance Sim Paradise Edition Coming to Switch in Early 2027
Publisher CFK has announced that a live-action FMV romance simulation series will come to Nintendo Switch as a combined package titled Paradise Edition in early 2027. The announcement, dated September 14, confirms that the release gathers the first and second entries of the まさか！下宿生が美女ですって？ series into one product. In the FMV series, players take on the role of a protagonist who runs a boarding house and lives under one roof with a cast of heroines, experiencing daily life from a first-person perspective. Every choice made during casual conversations influences affection and shapes the story’s outcome.
Paradise Edition bundles the original title and its sequel, allowing newcomers to follow the narrative from the first chapter through the second. Both installments previously earned strong acclaim on PC platforms and steadily expanded the series’ fan base, according to the publisher. Each day spent with the heroines is experienced in first-person view, and the choices made during everyday dialogue directly affect affection levels and the direction of the romance. Whether players focus on a single heroine or monopolize the love of the entire cast remains entirely up to their decisions.
Ahead of launch, the title will appear at Tokyo Game Show 2026, held from September 17 to 21 at Makuhari Messe, with September 17 and 18 reserved as business days. At the Happinet booth (Hall 6, 06-N04), visitors can try the game before release, and those who sample it will receive a novelty postcard as a venue bonus while supplies last. Life-size panels of the cast and a photo spot will also be set up. A debut trailer condensing memorable scenes from both games was released alongside the announcement.
The game is developed by StoryTaco and published by CFK Co., Ltd. (represented by Ku Chang-sik), with a single-player focus and no price announced yet. The first title offers Japanese, English, Korean, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, and Thai. The second includes Japanese, English, Korean, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Spanish, and Portuguese. For fans of live-action romance simulations, a two-game package arriving early next year is one to keep on the radar.
