Elden Ring Manga Chapter 87 Out Now, Vol. 12 Drops September 4
The gag manga adaptation of Elden Ring, “ELDEN RING: The Road to the Erdtree” by Nikiichi Tobita, has released its latest installment. Chapter 87 went live today, August 4, 2026, on the free web manga magazine COMIC Hu. As with previous chapters, the new installment is being distributed simultaneously or near-simultaneously in 11 languages, including Japanese, English, and Traditional Chinese, allowing readers around the world to enjoy it at roughly the same time. The series offers its own comedic take on the world of the acclaimed action RPG.
The latest chapter centers on the Omen King, Morgott, who finally draws his ominous cursed sword. He initially opens with feinting attacks using other weapons, but when faced with the combined assault of Asero and Melina, he unleashes the weapon skill “Cursed Blood Slash” from the cursed blade. Asero manages to raise a defense at the last moment, yet the skill carries an explosive flame follow-up. Whether the protagonist survives taking the blow head-on remains the chapter’s cliffhanger.

The latest collected edition of the series, Volume 12, is confirmed for release on September 4. The new volume continues Asero’s adventures after finally reaching the royal capital, following his acquisition of the Great Runes of Godrick, Radahn, and Rykard at Volcano Manor. Readers can follow the Tarnished protagonist’s new journey in the capital city in collected book form when it ships next month.

The manga follows Asero, a penniless Tarnished who loses his memories after collapsing in Limgrave and is guided by the mysterious girl Melina toward the Erdtree, encountering Patch, Blaidd, Margit, Godrick, and Ranni along the way. COMIC Hu updates the series on the 4th and 19th of each month, with overseas editions handled by publishers including Yen Press and Taiwan Kadokawa. With Morgott’s explosive skill as the latest cliffhanger, the stakes for Asero have rarely felt higher — definitely a chapter worth checking out.
