CygamesEdge’s First Game Gets Playable Demo and Final Trailer

Cygames has announced that 《崩落之国》, the debut title from its newly established CygamesEdge label, received a playable demo on October 16 alongside a final trailer. CygamesEdge is described as a brand focused on small and mid-scale game development. The full game is scheduled to launch on November 5, 2026, as a digital-only release for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. The publisher shared the demo rollout and trailer debut together, marking the first public showing of the project under the new label.
The demo is built to showcase the game’s core mechanic, described as falling-style platforming. It uses high-difficulty stage design and is estimated at roughly 15 to 30 minutes of playtime. Because the stated goal is to let players sample the core loop, all actions and abilities are unlocked from the start, and the demo contains no story content. In the full release, abilities will be unlocked gradually as the story progresses, and the difficulty design will be broader than pure high-difficulty challenges.

The final trailer combines cutscenes with gameplay footage to introduce the game’s world. Human civilization lives atop the World Tree, while the surface below has long been barren and abandoned. The protagonist, who has nothing, meets the calamity-bearing entity said to have triggered the world’s collapse, and the two set out together on a journey toward the surface. The complete story will be left for players to explore in the full version.

Cygames, which handles game planning, development, and operations, positioned CygamesEdge as a brand dedicated to smaller-scale projects, with 《崩落之国》 serving as its first release. Details beyond the demo and trailer, including pricing, were not disclosed. Editorially, leading with a hard-difficulty demo suggests the team wants players to judge the platforming feel before anything else; how the fuller difficulty curve of the finished game lands is the open question when it arrives in November 2026.
