Caladrius 2: Dark Element Coming to Switch 2, PS5, PC in Winter 2026
MOSS has officially announced Caladrius 2: Dark Element, a brand-new 2D bullet hell shooter set in a dark gothic world, scheduled for release in Winter 2026 on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and PC. The announcement came on August 7, 2026, alongside the launch of the game’s official website and the debut of a teaser trailer online. Billed as the first completely new title in the series in 13 years, the game carries the tagline “the aesthetics of being hit reach their peak here.” Set in a realm dominated by beauty and darkness, it promises exhilarating shooting action across shadow-drenched battlefields.
The original Caladrius debuted on Xbox 360 in 2013, developed and published by MOSS as a vertical-scrolling shooter. It subsequently received multiple ports, including arcade and PlayStation 3 versions. Rather than another port or remaster, this project is a fully original sequel that continues the series’ gothic identity. The game features a cast of distinctive characters illustrated by a lineup of acclaimed artists, who join players as they charge through battlefields shrouded in darkness.

The game will be published by H2 INTERACTIVE, with both boxed and downloadable versions planned. The retail release comes in a standard package edition and a quantity-limited special edition. The standard package edition is priced at 5,980 yen plus tax (~$40 / ~¥285), while the special edition costs 11,800 yen plus tax (~$79 / ~¥565). The download version is set at 4,980 yen plus tax (~$33 / ~¥235). The game has received a CERO D rating, indicating content suitable for players aged 17 and up.

MOSS has indicated that further details on Caladrius 2: Dark Element will continue to be revealed on the official website in the lead-up to launch. With its dark gothic aesthetic, characterful artwork, and the bullet-hell gameplay that defined the original, the title looks poised to evolve the series while honoring its roots. For fans of the 2013 classic and 2D shooting games in general, this long-awaited revival is certainly one to keep on the radar ahead of its Winter 2026 release.
