Yakuza Series Announces First-Ever Music Live Event in Tokyo
Sega has announced the first-ever music live event for the Yakuza series, titled “Yakuza THE LIVE -IKIZAMA-“, scheduled for May 16-17, 2026 at Kanadevia Hall in Tokyo. The event will feature live band performances centered around the series’ iconic karaoke songs, with battle music also incorporated into the setlist. Voice actors Takaya Kuroda (Kazuma Kiryu), Shigeki Uchiyama (Goro Majima), and Kazuhiro Nakaya (Ichiban Kasuga) are confirmed to appear alongside special guests. Ticket pre-sales began on March 6, 2026, with lottery applications available through designated ticketing services.
The live event will showcase the Yakuza series’ signature sound through full-band live performances. According to the announcement, the program will primarily feature karaoke songs that have become beloved by fans throughout the series’ history, while also including battle music tracks. The performances will take place at Kanadevia Hall in Tokyo’s Bunkyo Ward, with showtimes scheduled for 6:00 PM on May 16th and two shows on May 17th at 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM respectively. This marks the first time the series’ music has been presented in a dedicated live concert format.
Ticket prices are divided into three tiers: Premium S seats at ¥19,800 (~$138), S seats at ¥13,800 (~$96), and A seats at ¥9,800 (~$68). Premium S seats guarantee front-row placement and include an original design T-shirt. The ticket lottery application period runs in two phases: the first from March 6-17, 2026, and the second from April 3-8, 2026. General ticket sales will begin on April 20, 2026, on a first-come, first-served basis. All prices include tax.
The Yakuza series, which debuted in 2005, has sold over 27.7 million copies worldwide across full game releases. Known for its mature themes of love, loyalty, and betrayal set in Japan’s entertainment districts, the series has become renowned for its distinctive karaoke minigames featuring original songs. The live event represents a new venture for the franchise, bringing its musical elements from the digital realm to a physical concert setting.
