Witch on the Holy Night Mobile Port Confirmed for November 20 Release
Aniplex has confirmed that Witch on the Holy Night (Mahoutsukai no Yoru) is coming to mobile devices, with the iOS and Android version scheduled to launch on November 20. The announcement was made during a stage event at FGOFes.2026, where the publisher also revealed that pricing and store page information will be announced at a later date. The mobile version is a port of the game’s console edition, which previously brought the classic visual novel to modern hardware. For fans of the series who play on smartphones, this release offers a new way to experience the acclaimed story.
Witch on the Holy Night is a visual novel written by Kinoko Nasu, the creator renowned for Tsukihime and Fate/staynight. The mobile version is a port of the console edition, which was itself built on the original 2012 release of the game. That console version added full voice acting and upgraded the visuals to full high-definition. With the mobile port now set for November, Nasu’s writing will reach players on iOS and Android devices.
The story centers on Shizuki Soujuurou, a boy from the countryside who transfers to Misaki High School, where he crosses paths with Aoko Aozaki, the school’s prominent student council president, and Alice Kuonji, a reclusive girl living in a mansion on the hill. The two are the rumored witches of that mansion. After an accident exposes Soujuurou to the secrets of the mage world, he is forced to move into the Kuonji residence to keep the secret, beginning an unusual cohabitation between one man and two women. Aoko is an apprentice magician who inherited her family’s craft partway, while Alice is a pure witch born into the mage world — the pair are teacher and student, partners, and frequent bickering rivals.
Beneath the calm surface of daily life, a storm is brewing. Aoko’s older sister, Touko Aozaki — a core character from The Garden of Sinners (Kara no Kyoukai) — arrives in Misaki Town with her familiar, and the long-simmering conflict between the sisters erupts in full. In the shadows of the modern city, magecraft, phantasmal species, and ancient rituals take the stage one after another as the young protagonists confront their fates at the boundary between the everyday and the mysterious. With the mobile launch approaching, this is shaping up to be a strong pick for visual novel fans on iOS and Android.
