Japanese Ramen Simulator Enters Early Access Today on PC
Japanese Ramen Simulator, a multiplayer ramen shop management game developed by the Japan-based indie studio Wild Dog, entered early access on PC on September 28, 2026, at 9:00 JST. The title supports one to ten players, with online cooperative play designed for a recommended maximum of six. To mark the launch, the game is available at a 10 percent discount for two weeks. According to the press release, wishlist registrations for the game surpassed 130,000 before release, a milestone the development team credited to players who signed up and shared the game online.
Players handle the full workflow of a ramen shop, from ingredient preparation and cooking to serving, customer service, and cleanup. The game can be played in either first-person or third-person view, letting players switch between an immersive cooking perspective and a wider view of their surroundings. Cooking emphasizes detail: noodle boiling time, soup temperature, and topping placement all factor into the result. Ingredient combinations and physics-based plating mean each bowl turns out slightly different. Additional menu items include gyoza, rice bowls, and beer poured with attention to foam balance.

Alongside routine service, the game introduces unpredictable events, such as demanding ramen critics who visit and expect a convincing bowl built on aroma, umami, and careful toppings. During operating hours, players can also encounter thieves targeting the register and sudden fires. Tools such as shuriken and fire extinguishers are used to handle these crises. The press release also teases the option to try one’s luck at a gambling den for a quick fortune.

Players can freely arrange cooking equipment, furniture, storage, and decorations in both kitchen and seating areas. A My Design feature lets users create their own art for posters, curtains, and ramen bowls, and friends’ shops can be visited to leave a signature. Clothing, body type, emotes, and even the noodle-straining motion are customizable, while higher shop levels unlock new ingredients and equipment. Spatial voice chat changes how voices sound based on distance and walls, and NPC employees can be hired for solo play. Wild Dog is a small Japanese indie team whose members have AAA and indie experience and who studied real ramen shops and recorded cooking sounds for authenticity. Early access is priced at ¥1,900 (~$13), discounted to ¥1,710 (~$12) during the launch period. For fans of hands-on management sims, this is one to watch.
