Forza Horizon 6 PC Benchmarks Show Great Optimization but Modest Ray Tracing Gains


PC performance benchmarks for Forza Horizon 6 have been released alongside the game’s media review embargo lift, revealing strong optimization across a wide range of hardware configurations. According to early testing, the open-world racing title runs smoothly on various resolutions and graphics presets, with older systems able to achieve playable frame rates without relying on upscaling technologies or frame generation. However, the ray tracing implementation has drawn criticism from some reviewers for offering limited visual improvements relative to its performance cost. The title offers both ray-traced reflections and ray-traced global illumination options.
Performance testing indicates that Forza Horizon 6 delivers solid frame rates across different hardware tiers and resolution targets. Older graphics cards can run the game comfortably at acceptable settings without requiring DLSS, FSR, or frame generation technology. This level of optimization suggests that the developer has focused on broad hardware accessibility, allowing a larger segment of the PC gaming audience to enjoy the title without needing the latest components. While the game offers ray-traced reflections and ray-traced global illumination, their visual impact has been described as underwhelming.
