Demon Slayer Game Adds Giyu Tomioka DLC on March 12
Aniplex has announced that the paid downloadable content “Giyu Tomioka (Infinity Castle Arc)” character pack for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Hinokami Keppuutan 2 will be released on March 12, 2026. The DLC will be priced at 550 yen (~$3.70) and includes the playable character Giyu Tomioka from the Infinity Castle arc, along with Demon Slayer Corps ticket backgrounds, memorable quotes, and decorative cards. The character pack is the fifth installment in the Infinity Castle Arc Chapter 1 character pass series, which is currently available for purchase.
In addition to the individual character pack, a complete character pass containing all seven planned character packs is available for 2,970 yen (~$20). This bundle includes not only Giyu Tomioka but also other characters such as Kaigaku, Zenitsu Agatsuma (Infinity Castle Arc), Akaza (Infinity Castle Arc), Tanjiro Kamado (Infinity Castle Arc), Shinobu Kocho (Infinity Castle Arc), and Doma. Each character pack can also be purchased separately, though the bundle offers a discounted price for players planning to acquire all the content.
Giyu Tomioka is one of the highest-ranking swordsmen in the Demon Slayer Corps, known as the Water Hashira. He is the character who initially guided Tanjiro Kamado into the Demon Slayer Corps. Described as a quiet swordsman, Giyu once believed he was unworthy of becoming a Hashira but later resolved to carry on the will entrusted to him by his former friend Sabito. In the game, the character will be usable in Versus Mode’s “Battle” mode, allowing players to control him in combat scenarios.
The DLC will be available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC platforms. To use this content, players must own the base game and apply the latest update data. Aniplex cautions that there are bundle products containing this content, so players should be careful to avoid duplicate purchases. The character visuals were created by developer CyberConnect2 based on the game’s 3D models. With the steady release of character packs, Demon Slayer fans have more options to expand their roster in this popular fighting action game.
