ChillyRoom’s Cyberpunk Action Title Lou Yi Zhi Cheng Opens Demo

ChillyRoom, the studio behind Soul Knight and Otherworld Legends, has launched the first online limited-time demo for its self-developed action indie game 《蝼蚁之城》 (Lou Yi Zhi Cheng), published by Spiral Up Games. The demo went live on October 20 and will remain available until November 10, giving players an early look at the project’s blend of cyberpunk aesthetics and Chinese mythology. The studio describes the title as an action game built around a cycle of inescapable resets, and this trial marks the first public hands-on opportunity for the game.
According to the announcement, the demo lets players sample the game’s core combat systems, including blade clashes and parrying. Players can also get an initial feel for the enemies, bosses, and world setting that will appear in the full release. Combat is framed around a fast, fluid exchange of offense and defense, with timing described as the key to defeating foes in an instant. The trial is intended as a limited first taste rather than a complete slice of the finished game.

In Lou Yi Zhi Cheng, the gods hand down a false form of eternal life, while sin and exploitation repeat across resets that cannot be escaped. The player takes the role of a synthetic human who was ordered destroyed and has returned once again. Progression revolves around continually combining weapons, combat skills, chips, and karma, sharpening the character step by step through each cycle of the loop before confronting the truth of the city.

Beyond combat, players venture into the ever-shifting Guixu Tower, where they meet characters with distinct styles. Treasures gathered along the way can be entrusted to reliable companions in exchange for help during the adventure. The setting pits players against ancient beasts enhanced by machinery within a cyber metropolis, gradually decoding the world’s truth, tearing open the reality of the so-called city of ants, and finally making a choice. The studio also teases familiar scenes and objects from a certain pixel world of the past. For fans of ChillyRoom’s earlier work, that hint alone is worth the download. ⚙️
