Banners of the Saint Gets Japanese Voice Acting in Major Update

Azure Flame Studio and 2P Games have released a major update for the strategy RPG Banners of the Saint (圣女战旗), adding full Japanese voice acting to the game. The newly implemented voice lines cover combat commands, bringing additional personality to each character during battlefield encounters. Alongside the update, the publisher has launched limited-time promotional pricing across multiple platforms, offering the game at significantly reduced rates. The update arrives as the latest enhancement for this French Revolution-themed tactical title, which has been available on PC and Nintendo Switch platforms.
With this update, all playable characters now feature Japanese voice performances for their battle commands. The developers state that the new voice acting helps make each character feel more vivid and memorable during combat. The game features over 30 recruitable characters, each with costume designs inspired by the Napoleonic era, ranging from luxurious court gowns to polished military uniforms. These designs have been reinterpreted through a modern art style, and the addition of Japanese voice work further enhances the presentation of these characters on the battlefield.

Banners of the Saint is a strategy RPG set during the French Revolution. Players take on the role of Pauline Bonaparte, a young woman who awakens the power of a saint. The game allows players to recruit and train companions, command multiple unit types on the battlefield, and navigate the treacherous political landscape of Paris. At the Malmaison Salon hub, players complete missions to raise funds, improve equipment, and align with various factions. Choices such as pledging loyalty to the royal family, befriending the Feuillants, or supporting the popular faction will unlock different rewards, tactical skills, and supplies.

The tactical combat system features 18th and 19th century military units including line infantry, cavalry, and artillery. Players can leverage terrain advantages, unit type counters, and weather effects that dynamically impact movement and accuracy. Enemy reinforcements and special events further challenge strategic decision-making. The Japanese voice update is now live across all platforms. The promotional pricing runs from June 12 to June 19 on PC platforms at approximately $1.90 (~¥13.6), and from June 12 to June 26 on Nintendo Switch at 40% off. This update breathes new life into an already solid tactical RPG — fans of strategy games with a historical twist should definitely take a closer look.
