Xbox Game Pass Late September Lineup: 13 Games Including Gears E-Day
Microsoft has officially unveiled the Xbox Game Pass lineup for late September 2026, covering the period from September 16 to October 6. A total of 13 games are scheduled to join the service, with four titles arriving on their launch day: Core Heart (核心之心), the atmospheric 黯井微光, Minecraft Dungeons 2, and Gears of War: E-Day. The batch spans multiple subscription tiers, including Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, PC Game Pass, and Essential, and covers genres ranging from survival adventure and action fighting to sci-fi puzzle solving and horror survival.
According to Microsoft, the most anticipated addition is Gears of War: E-Day (战争机器：事变日), which joins day one on October 6. Set 14 years before the events of the original Gears of War, the game depicts the Locust’s first assault from beneath the surface. Its story centers on Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago during this pivotal moment. Arriving on launch day for Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, the title stands out as one of the service’s biggest releases of the month.
Several other notable titles join the service. Ninja Gaiden 4 arrives on September 17 for cloud, Xbox Series X/S, handheld, and PC platforms, available to Ultimate, Premium, and PC Game Pass members. Dune: Awakening, Funcom’s sandbox survival RPG, lands on September 22, letting players explore, build, craft, and survive on the planet Arrakis with both solo and multiplayer elements. Minecraft Dungeons 2 follows on September 29 for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, continuing the action RPG series with new crises, regions, and challenges.
Additional titles join in waves: Marvel Cosmic Invasion, Lana’s Planet 2, Moon Mission, and Super Raccoon Sheep on September 16; Core Heart on September 17; 黯井微光 on September 22; Mad King Redemption on September 23; and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on September 25. Meanwhile, eight games leave on September 30, including Atomic Heart, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, Little Nightmares 2: Enhanced Edition, Sifu, and Sworn. Ten titles, among them Cyberpunk 2077, Dead Cells, and Frostpunk 2, already departed on September 15. Microsoft continues its twice-monthly update cadence, and this batch offers solid value for Ultimate subscribers.
