USJ Biohazard Licker Popcorn Bucket Arrives September 9 with Miso Flavor
Universal Studios Japan has announced a new wave of collaboration merchandise tied to the Biohazard (Resident Evil) franchise ahead of its Halloween Horror Nights event, which opens on September 11, 2026. Headlining the reveal is the park’s first-ever Biohazard-design popcorn bucket, modeled after the Licker, the series’ iconic wall-crawling predator creature. The product commemorates two milestones at once: the 15th anniversary of Halloween Horror Nights and the 30th anniversary of the Biohazard series. The bucket goes on sale starting September 9, 2026.
The Licker popcorn bucket reproduces the creature’s signature features, including its elongated tongue and razor-sharp claws, with the claws and teeth made from soft materials. Its standout gimmick is the opening head section, which grants access to the miso-flavored popcorn inside. The item will be sold at the popcorn cart in front of Stage 22 and is positioned as a must-have collectible that lets guests carry the Licker’s terror around the park. In addition, Raccoon City Police Department-themed role-play goods and other collaboration merchandise will arrive at the Cinema 4-D Store on the same day, with purchase requiring a valid same-day admission ticket or annual pass.
The collaboration extends to the horror maze attraction “Biohazard Requiem: The Dive,” themed after the latest entry in the 30-year-old series. The R-15 rated maze is set in Renwood Hotel, located on the outskirts of Raccoon City, where FBI analyst Grace has gone missing while investigating a string of mysterious deaths. Guests will face relentless attacks from creatures lunging from ceilings, floors, and every other direction in a 360-degree assault. Live-action scenes featuring Leon and Grace are also staged right before guests, highlighted as a must-see part of the experience.
This year’s Halloween Horror Nights also includes Street Zombies with a new story and presentation, plus Zombie de Dance, which returns with King Gnu’s “SO BAD” and a special medley of past collaboration songs such as Ado’s “Sing” and Sandaime J SOUL BROTHERS’ “Rat-tat-tat.” A special show, “Halloween Horror Nights Academy: 15 Years of Screams,” will run at Gramercy Park, and the event debuts its first R-18 attraction, “Zanzou” (Afterimage), which requires a signed pledge. The Dive runs daily from 10:00 a.m. to park close between September 11 and December 27. More original food items are expected to be announced, and for Biohazard fans planning a trip, this is shaping up to be an unmissable autumn event.
