Trails in the Sky the 2nd Sets September 17 Global Release Date
Japanese developer Falcom and publisher GungHo Online Entertainment have officially announced the release date for The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 2nd, a complete remake of the classic JRPG sequel. The game is scheduled to launch globally on September 17, 2026, marking a significant release for fans of the long-running series. This announcement comes as a major update for those who have been following the remake project, which aims to bring the beloved second chapter of the Trails in the Sky saga to modern platforms with enhanced visuals and features.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 2nd will be available on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC platforms. In Western regions, the project will offer both digital and physical editions for console players, while in Japan, physical editions will only be available for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2. This regional distinction in physical availability represents a notable difference in distribution strategy between markets, potentially affecting collector preferences in different territories.
Pre-ordering the game comes with a special benefit: purchasers will receive a download code for the HD remake of the first game, The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 1st.
