The Witch: Final Journey Launches June 5 for PC — A Co-op Roguelike Deck-Builder

The Witch: Final Journey (魔女:终末旅途), a cooperative roguelike deck-building game previously well-received during its demo showcase, is set to launch on June 5. Developed by an independent team, the title blends card strategy with dark narrative themes, placing players in the role of guiding witches on a journey through a doomed world. The game supports up to four players in online co-op, allowing friends to form a witch squad and face escalating dangers together. Described as a tale of destruction and salvation, the game invites players to decide whether to become agents of annihilation or seekers of light in a dying realm.
A standout feature is the Blank Card system, which allows players to freely combine magical effects to create entirely customized cards. Unlike traditional deck-builders with fixed card pools, this system lets players replace, strengthen, and even craft a single decisive strike — described by the developers as a magical nuclear bomb. The goal is to push the boundaries of creativity, turning imagination into a viable combat strategy. This mechanic adds a layer of personal expression and unpredictability to each playthrough.

In addition to cooperative gameplay where fallen allies can be revived through timely assistance, the game introduces a unique Causal Timeline system. Players draw Destiny Cards from the map and arrange them freely on a timeline, customizing the daily encounters for their witches. By skillfully combining events, unexpected story branches and rewards may be unlocked. This system blends strategic planning with narrative exploration, giving players control over the fate of their characters.

Combat progression is built around three core dimensions: cards, relics, and blessings, allowing players to construct distinct combat styles. Adapting to different enemy abilities and exploiting weaknesses through counters is emphasized. Looking ahead, the developers plan to release modding support after launch, enabling players to create new witch characters, cards, storylines, and art assets, extending the game’s longevity through community-generated content. This is a promising addition for a title that already encourages creative freedom at its core.
