Stellar Blade x Overwatch Crossover Teased as EVE Protocol
Shift Up’s Stellar Blade and Blizzard’s Overwatch are officially crossing over. The Stellar Blade official account recently shared a crossover teaser announcing a collaboration with Overwatch under the theme “EVE Protocol.” The accompanying visual places the logos of both games side by side, confirming that the crossover is already in preparation. Neither party has revealed the format of the collaboration, its launch window, or which regions it will cover, leaving fans to debate what the team-up will actually look like.
So far, the announcement consists of a single teaser post and its visual artwork featuring both game logos. The Stellar Blade account described the project as being prepared, but no further details were attached. That leaves the collaboration’s scope entirely open — whether it stays cosmetic or carries story content remains unknown. For now, the only confirmed element is the “EVE Protocol” name and the partnership itself.
Based on Overwatch’s past crossover habits, collaborations have typically arrived in the form of character skins, which has led many observers to speculate that EVE could be added to the hero shooter as a skin. However, “EVE Protocol” is also the name of the final main-story mission in Stellar Blade, prompting some players to hope the crossover might include deeper narrative content rather than cosmetics alone.
Discussion among players has been lively. Some are eager to see EVE enter Overwatch, while others worry about how faithfully her design would be recreated, with some jokingly questioning whether Blizzard might apply “localization adjustments” to her signature look. Separately, because Overwatch is published by Activision Blizzard — now owned by Xbox — some players have used the announcement to ask whether Stellar Blade might eventually come to Xbox. This one is worth watching, if only to see how far the EVE Protocol idea actually goes.
