Pixel Action RPG Colossus: Eternal Blight Launches Early Access July 22

Independent developer Rustic Panda Games and publisher Level Up Gaming have announced that the pixel-art action RPG Colossus: Eternal Blight (《巨像:蚀世之灾》) will enter early access on the PC platform starting July 22, 2026. The title previously achieved notable success on Kickstarter, reaching its crowdfunding goal within 24 hours and receiving the platform’s “Project We Love” recognition. It also gained traction as one of the most-played action RPG demos during the Steam Next Fest, generating strong anticipation from the global gaming community.
Colossus: Eternal Blight invites players into a pixel-art fantasy world known as Eireos, drawing inspiration from classics such as Hyper Light Drifter and Chrono Trigger. The game follows protagonist Lucian as he embarks on a journey to save someone dear to him while the world is gradually consumed by an encroaching nightmare. The developers have described the project as a fusion of action RPG and JRPG elements, aiming to pay homage to the golden age of classic titles while offering a modern gameplay experience.

Rustic Panda Games is a six-person independent studio headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, with team members spread across the United States, United Kingdom, France, Malaysia, and Colombia. Founded by Nick Camacho and co-owned alongside Adeel Jafree, the studio focuses on creating deep role-playing game experiences that blend classic RPG sensibilities with modern design philosophy. Colossus: Eternal Blight marks the studio’s debut title, born from founder Camacho’s passion for action RPGs and Japanese role-playing games, particularly influenced by Hyper Light Drifter.

The early access release is scheduled for July 22, 2026, on the PC platform. Players interested in the title can already add it to their wishlists ahead of launch. The Kickstarter campaign remains open for those who wish to support the ongoing development of the game. For fans of pixel-art RPGs with a strong narrative focus and classic-inspired gameplay, Colossus: Eternal Blight is shaping up to be a promising indie debut worth keeping an eye on when it enters early access next month.
