Phantom Blade Zero PC Review Score Rises to 91% After Launch

《影之刃零》(Phantom Blade Zero) has seen its player reception steadily improve since release, with its positive review rate on the PC platform now sitting at 91%. That figure applies both to the game’s overall rating and to its Simplified Chinese review section, according to a November 3 report. The wuxia action title launched on October 29, and its early reviews fell short of the scores it holds today, with the rating climbing gradually as more players progressed deeper into the game and added their feedback.
Review data tracked across the launch window shows a clear upward trend. On October 29, the day of release, the positive review rate sat between 78% and 81%. As review volume grew, that range moved to 82%-84% on October 30, then to 86% on October 31, before finally breaking past 90%. The report frames this as a sign that the game moved past the mixed reactions typical of a launch period and is now earning broader approval from players who have spent more time with it.

Player feedback has singled out several elements as the game’s strongest points, including its wuxia-inspired action design, a substantial lineup of boss fights, map exploration, and the weapon system. Later areas in particular have drawn praise, with the Pangzhen (庞镇) region and other zones that open up as the story advances offering denser environments and more to discover. That pacing has led a number of players to describe the experience as getting better the further they play.

Not every element has landed cleanly. Some players have raised objections over the story’s pacing, the feel of the controls, and the design of certain individual bosses. Even so, the continuously rising review score points to growing overall approval for the title. For a wuxia action game leaning heavily on boss encounters, the fact that the strongest impressions arrive later in the campaign is a good sign that word of mouth will keep working in its favor.
