Game director and co-founder Jonathan Rogers shared the news while addressing questions about a potential Switch 2 port, stating that no work is currently underway for Nintendo’s upcoming platform. The announcement comes as the development team focuses on finalizing the 1.0 experience for the action RPG.
According to Jonathan Rogers, the team has completed all necessary work to achieve Steam Deck verification for the 0.5.0 update. This includes adding comprehensive UI scaling options to allow adjustments to various interface elements, setting up optimized presets specifically for Steam Deck hardware, and ensuring all text displays correctly on the handheld screen. Rogers noted that extensive playtesting has been conducted to guarantee a smooth experience. The official verification badge from Valve will follow after the update is formally submitted for review.
When asked about the possibility of bringing Path of Exile 2 to the Switch 2, Jonathan Rogers was straightforward in his response. The studio currently has no work done on a Switch 2 version, and no plans were announced regarding a port to Nintendo’s upcoming console.
