According to racing simulator hardware manufacturer MOZA RACING, vehicle loss of control during high-speed driving is often linked to a driver’s inability to detect subtle signals such as tire grip fluctuations, road surface changes, and body posture shifts. These micro-details, when communicated effectively through force feedback, can help drivers react before instability escalates. To address this, MOZA RACING has introduced its latest flagship products — the R21 Ultra and R25 Ultra True Torque direct drive bases — designed to deliver high-fidelity force feedback that accurately reproduces road conditions and vehicle dynamics for improved control.
Force feedback serves as the primary communication channel between the road surface and the driver. When wheels hit a curb or dip into a depression, grip levels change instantly, and the wheel base transmits these shifts through the steering wheel. The R21 Ultra and R25 Ultra employ a self-developed high-torque-density flat wire motor engineered for authentic steering feel. With torque outputs of 21 Nm and 25 Nm respectively, the bases aim to provide nuanced feedback across different surfaces, from smooth asphalt to uneven terrain, helping drivers anticipate instability before control is lost.

The R21 Ultra and R25 Ultra feature a 21-bit high-resolution magnetic encoder paired with a 600MHz processor, offering 2.09 million levels of force feedback granularity and angle detection accuracy of 0.00017 degrees. A customizable force feedback curve system allows users to amplify useful dynamic cues while reducing unwanted interference. The R25 Ultra variant additionally includes a dedicated True Torque sensor with 0.1 percent sampling accuracy and a 2KHz response frequency, designed for more precise torque output and finer reproduction of road surface details and vehicle dynamics.
